  • Audi A8 4.2 V8 stanced

Picked up this 4.2 V8 A8 at the end of January for a fair price. Well specced and came with an LPG conversion which was the main selling point - power, luxury and 2ltr diesel fuel costs.

2 rear tyres needed replacing and fortunately for me the wheels were also slightly buckled so good excuse for new rims Fitted some lowering links while I was at it. I have to say the ride is still really compliant! If you hit a pothole or dipped drain cover you know about it but other than that still smooth just very small amount of bounciness on the B roads. No rubbing on the inner linings or arches, clear just right without needing crazy camber. Just need a decent photo session now with a good camera & location.

Nice man, but those wheels are way to big for that car, 20s would look way better

Agreed I think 20's would of been perfect. Props for being different though

20s was my first thoughts but 22s were actually cheaper overall oddly. Probably due to the 4x4 market I guess. Other issue with 20s is to get the arch gap I wanted the car would of been way too close to the floor for everyday use. As it is I can clear humps & bumps and in "lift" mode get into multi-stories, just. I've already got an E46 M3 I can't take anyway because of clearance issues!

Thank you for your honesty tho.

i disagree, the 22"s fill out the wheel wells perfectly. awesome stance without having to worry about scraping. looks good mate.

I'm not a fan of big wheels but these look great on this car.

                  Thanks.

I don't understand why noone ever made 20" reps of the 5 spoke star wheels.

I really like this, but I've always liked the Audi A8. The wheels just work well for it imo.

That's not all there is to 'stance' though.

To each their own; but I think the wheels are too big, and even just for everyday driving you'd be fine on 20''s with lowering springs. I mean the A8 is a huge car to begin with, and the wheels don't help a lot. But overall it's heading in the right direction, in for more.
