  • Raising the M5 Up Soon

I turn 50 year old in September. I have decided to give myself and M5 a present. I will be raising the suspension with Ireland Engineering springs with Bilstein Sports. I love the stance of my car but it has become my daily driver again and need a more practical suspension.

I know this is not the forum to talk about the virtues of having actual suspension travel and not getting stuck over speed bumps. Here she is before the drastic change. Please don't **** me out there. It's been nice flying low for almost 25 years.

      That looks great.

Don't see why you'd want to raise it, the height does looks very practical and not all that low to me? :

looks very well preserved, thank you.

I can understand why you'd want to be cautious with it, but um . . . it looks like an easy 5-6in. worth of clearance already. I assume you are very familiar with dodging potholes (should be done at any height) & road deviations & angling out of parking lots, so 7-9in. worth of clearance is unbelievably unnecessary.

at the very least, please leave it the way it sits currently.

dont see why you need to raise it, as most others said looks like plenty of ground clearance...i think it looks perfect where its at
