Hi all and greetings from Finland!
Been following the community for some time now and felt like it was time to make a thread about my pos Corolla. It's got a basic 1.6 liter carbureted powerhouse (4A-F) under the hood, and it says about 317k in the odometer.
How it looked initially:
Then I tried some OEM wheels on it:
As you can see, those looked a bit shy under it, so I sold them almost right away. At that time, I had a lack of inspiration and decided to try something different. I sold my daily as me and my gf needed a more roomy car for us and the baby:
(Sorry for the fake wheels, feel free to **** me now.)
Now, as the kid's grown up a bit - meaning I've got a lot more spare time in my hands - I decided to give the old ricer another go. Last autumn it rolled on 14x7" & 14x8" steelies:
Got fed up on those, too and ditched them. Also tried the coilovers, a bit high because of the winter:
Then swapped the original suspension back on and considered selling the car when I was a bit short on cash. Luckily I didn't. For a few weeks back, my buddy had a set of 5x112 BBS RM's (15x7,5" & 15x9") lying around so I bought those and test fitted them onto the car:
A bit of mexipoke, don't you think? But during the next few weeks I think they will fit just fine, as she gets the coilovers back under her and her arches rolled.
Plans for this spring:
- height adjustment
- wheelarch rolling
- Toyota Auris's front lip
- more speakers (already has Focal Access 2-way in front, JL Audio 12" in a sealed enclosure and a Hertz amplifier)
- door panel modifying to fit the speakers
- trunk cleaning
- ...something else?
Next autumn I'm going to paint her up and maybe do an engine swap. Or I might as well sell her. Who knows? Guess you can call it a love-**** relationship.
