Damn those need smaller tires bad, one upside to you completely raping those fenders is now you can go lower and space those out more once you get smaller tires might I suggest 205/40's up front and 215 or 225/40's rear, really you could just swap out the front tires for the rear and by some new fronts.

With those chunky tires they look like 16s on the relatively big E36. Need less rubber asap!
But Type As are a good choice.

I wanted to repaint the car for forever. Now i have a good excuse for that. It's safe to say i did it on purpose.Originally posted by HOLES View Postscuse me. why has no one mentioned the missing paint from the fenders?

Nice wheels... I am a tad biased though. 10'' rears are sex.Originally posted by e36rjbmw View PostDamn those need smaller tires bad, one upside to you completely raping those fenders is now you can go lower and space those out more once you get smaller tires might I suggest 205/40's up front and 215 or 225/40's rear, really you could just swap out the front tires for the rear and by some new fronts.as i said, i'm not done with the fitment yet..i'm pretty happy with the rear, but fronts will definately be changedOriginally posted by Dr.AK View PostWith those chunky tires they look like 16s on the relatively big E36. People, i need a bit of advice with tyres..i'm planing to go with 215/40 on the front and using some spacer. My math is:
Rears are 10j - 254mm
That means that the outter edge of the wheel is spaced out 254/2-20=107mm
Fronts are 8.5j ~ 216mm
That means they are 216/2-12=96mm
To make them sit identical i can use 107-96=11mm spacer in the front.
Sooo that leaves me with 8.5j et1 215(205?)/40
now for the rear..leave it as is (235/45 10j et20), or go for 225/40(35) and a little spacer?
That's the planOriginally posted by Hotrun_bb View Postwow. smaller tires and your golden.
thanks!
Yeah, that's why i made it myself..didn't feel like paying 250$+shipping for the eastwood one..Originally posted by ollycarbs View Postbadass! and i love your fender roller, i did not think about doing mine by myself, it is so uncommon and so expensive there...
Nice to hear that from you!Originally posted by M.Burroughs View PostAside from dominating the paint, it looks like those fenders came out very well.
Thanks man!Originally posted by slimadi View PostThat will look damn sweet when all finished.

Congratulations. I love those Borbets on that body style. I know you're gonna paint the whole car, but isn't your car black?..just mask is off and rattle can it for the time being. Done-Dealie. Looks good. Agree that smaller tires will pull it together better.

205/40 might be a bit too small for me..last season i was already pretty low with 215/40..now there's a heavier engine already. And 215/40 is 4cm bigger in radius than 205/40. That means that the car would go down ~2cm just because of the tire.Originally posted by Zic View PostThis!
lol, thanks!Originally posted by JSanders View PostThat's sexy.
Nice jack/fender roller!
Thanks. I might be able to help you out, PM me if you're interestedOriginally posted by Oliver Kloshof View Postthe day light pictures do wayy better justice. i like it. im in the market to get some type a's as well

2cm is a lot, when you're 6cm from the ground..Originally posted by primerdimer View PostReally, what is 2cm gonna do? 215's on a 9" wheel is not very stretched, so to run a 215 on an 8.5" is gonna look almost flat... i say rock the 205 on the front and 225's out back... stance is about pushing the limit. so lets see it get pushed! YEEE!
215/40 stretches perfectly on a 8,5
