no matter which you go with make sure you get the student discount. It's MASSIVE for either product. If you aren't a student, find one.

YES. Although, If you own it, can't you use it on 1 desktop, and 1 laptop? Perhaps if you find a friend with it on their desktop, you can get them to give it to you on your laptop. Then it's FREE.

Not sure exactly how it works though. My copy of lightroom wasn't something I purchased.......

Apple makes a similar product called Aperture, but IMO I would go with Adobe products instead since they work on both Windows and Apple machines.

looks good, and when it comes to lightroom and photoshop, I actually use both, I wish there was something in between for the two. try out the trials on adobe.com and just look for serials to use lol
