So sorry to hear that dude, I race downhill now! As much fun as it is, goddamn it can be scary as shit sometimes... If you don't mind me asking was it a front brake over the bars accident? Or to fast into a tree?

I recently had a friend not wear his leatt brace and crack a vertebrae in his neck after casing a jump and getting bucked headfirst into a tree. :/

This was in 2004 I had a specialized big hit mono pivot for freeride and jumping had a few azonic goodies MRP chain guide etc, motobecane hardtail strictly for XC and some light dirt jumping, a kona stinky fully built with carbon fiber triple clamp manitou front fork. Fox vanilla RC rear shock it was used for race and freeride, and a couple of haro BMX frames built with misc parts i had laying around for messing around on the street and at the local BMX tracks. I went over the handle bars down a fast rock section to drop to 35 ft double. It was on video as well as me getting air lifted off the mountain. So sorta neither I wish i would have taped some front brake a lil more as i was making my descent. It was my second time running that trail also. First run was a very successful one I had the itch to ride it again. I mean with a trail name like "world cup" and having completed a run how could one not ? especially when a buddy is saying yeah lets go film it this time. LOL

They also make these , they are called fourcross chairs. And are essentially a gravity powered downhill wheelchair. LOL the record for a jump is 55 feet. I was hitting 45 ft doubles before my accident at age 16. I eventually want to get one, This one here is a prototype built by a paraplegic who used to ride and work at santa cruz cycles. Eric Lindsley. he wants $10k for another one to be built

nope same car. 187k miles and still ticking. I got the OEM side skirts from paolos 202 out in vegas at wuste this past june. Grabbed a new avantgarde grill. clear corners. A few other goodies here and there. I painted some trim pieces to color match got rid of the early 90s plastic rocker panel look the car had going. BOOM. new car.

Why thank you sir. I actually have family in East Tennessee that I will be visiting after this holiday season. Wont be driving of course. But I will hopefully obtain a rental and be able to go places and do things. Even though aforementioned "things" are few and far between in that part of the country compared to what im used to.

The double sheet metal in the rears of the older mercs is especially hard to roll. The fronts were at first done with an eastwood to roll the metal lip flat. That wasnt enough so i turned to the good old wooden Louisville slugger. + heat gun combo. The rears are so thick and hardly move. So after numerous attempts at it by myself I caved in and called up some buddies to come help me man the baseball bat. It did the trick tho. Believe it or not I can make full lock u turns while tucking front and rear. and only minimal rubbing with passengers and virtually no rub unless i hit a bump when I am alone.

Thanks Im glad you like them. Some may find them aesthetically appalling But those are the people who dont belong on stanceworks, Some people call them" ruined". I like to say it adds Character. I feel that cars are another extension of an individuals style and taste its a way for the owner to express these attributes
