      first off, gotta rep moon

i have been playing with the fitment a lot lately, and all i can say is thank god for fender flares, i need to get a real roller, but with no time before sowo a good hammering is all i could do, as for the back i am going to need to run some camber bolts to get it where i want it, because even with tiny tires and et30 i cant fit it under the flares at the height i want it without a good roll, so it looks like for sowo I'm going to be sitting ass up, with more rake then i would like, but whatever

I made a trunk floor out of plywood, so that everything wouldnt fall into the spare tire well, this isnt permanent and i just eyeballed everything, but it gets the job done for now, you know the saying measure never cut once

yes i do carry a spare oil pan

this whole fitment thing is taking its toll on the tires, i keep taking laps around the block trying to get it dialed in and it is fucking the sidewall up
      inside/ no rub

      outside, where fender lip rubs

but its all fixed now, at least till im dumb enough to bring it back down
pile of tire i pulled out of the fender
      front fitment

      lastly an instagram pic #straightflexin

im off to give her a bath now

I love this car, the wheels definitely make it but I still love the look of the 13s with the VW hubcaps.

Yours make me want a mk2 badly, I came really close to buying my buddy's 89 GLI last week but he sold it before I could get to it.

I had a nice little adventure on the way down to sowo, i broke down 3 times, finally giving up until morning when there was no where open to buy brake fluid.
so story goes, stay up late thursday night cramming for exams, wake up at 6 and take 2 exams getting me done at 5pm. get in the car and head to sowo. 2 hours in i lose all power, i pull over to the side of the road only to find that my auxiliary power cable had fried its self, it was 14 gauge wire, and clearly to thin, so i replaced it with 10 gauge

i get back on the road and 40 minutes later i lose all power again, this time i was confused and it took me a minute, but i finaly figured out that my cut off switch was the problem, it would work but only if held between on and off. i will be calling summit about this later

now im good, i get gas and what not with no issues

once i am getting off of the 85 exit onto ga17 i realize my brakes are musshy and leaking, i instantly know that my crimped rear brake line that i had as a quick pre sowo fix for a seized caliper and broken line had not worked, we pulled into a gas station and i got to work

only to have the gas station close on me. lights out and nowhere to buy brake fluid, i only carry enough to top. so i gave up got a hotel for the night.
the next morning i woke up early and rode 6 miles round trip in the rain on my fixie to get npt plugs for the brakes to plug them the right way, only to find out how corroded the old fittings were. all i can say is that i need to redo the entire brake system probably in the cabin before i drive this much more.

anyways i got it fixed and made it to sowo by 11 only having to make a terrible speed bumppy detour because some town thought it was a good day for a parade

Sweet pictures, man! Sorry to hear about your rough trip. I know how that is.

I like the new wheels too, although the 13's were more my taste. I also really like the heat gun trick! Never heard of that before.

the 13s are sweet, but if i get them to have any kind of fitment then the car actually sits frame, i would love some 14s but for now i like these, if i can ever afford air then ill be rocking the 13s again
