Very cool seeing that the owners of your favorite cars like what you've built! 
Still think lack of cylinders and displacement is the issue. 
But now that the roll bar is in, its not a stock car! Just a really slow and low racecar. 
There's definitely a few things I could have done different on this. This design just seemed to make the most sense with my car's layout and discussions with the tube-bender. It was cleared by the local drift series to do solo runs with the top down, so it good for what I currently plan on doing with the car. If I were to start doing tandem, I always knew I would pretty much start over with more supports and tying into rear strut towers. For a DD and occasional drifter, this basic bar still seems like a good setup.
