This is not so hard . Volvo 244 may lower - very easy . My recipe : I cut springs and make shorter rear and front absorbers . First time demontage and montage will be hard and after it will be your lovely work , I promise . Dont forget make adjustable panara link , if you dont do this - rear axle will move to right . If you have a questions about lowering 240 - I answer with pleasure

So what kind of struts/shocks are on the car? Also are they just the stock springs or lowering springs that you cut?

Shocks - rebuild from KYB oil shocks and changed specs . I cut stock springs .
