#RBS Eclipse (Simple 2g DSM Stance)
Soo, I've lusted over dsm's since a young age - my softball coach had one of those 2-tone 1g talon tsi's when I was seven or eight; probably my first exposure and recollection of the magical whirl, pressure and pssss kapoosh sounds that come from a turbocharged car.
20 years later, after going through many of the cars I've always wished to own (and slam with wiide wheels lol); I finally found a clean umolested late model 2g eclipse. White was my first choice but any dsm fan knows that a clean, unmodded, unriced example is nearly impossible to find.
So after finding this red GST - I tried to stay on a tight budget (since my e30/food takes most of my money) and ordered another set of coilovers (came with garbage KYB / GC that didn't go low at all), some boltons to wake the motor up more and started making it my own. With not much to go by for wide wheels and being lowww except guys like erict, dyesuperman on here and one or two others (droool) - I finally settled on a set of very pocketbook friendly wheels I found locally w good tires that were still very aggressive for this platform. Learning from being on some DSM forums: most users don't take kindly to slammage, "stretch tires" (I don't think these are that stretched?), low stance etc. Its all about running sub 12 sec. which is def admirable and I'd love to get there, but I couldn't stand for a second seing my 2g with its sexy shape, sitting a foot off the ground with 6 inch wheel gap and ugly 40offset wheels
So with my priorities - here's where I'm at:
