    Quite the audacity...

I have been hearing a lot of smack talking, but let's see some proof. Show me a picture pre-1997 photo that shows a vehicle with aftermarket air bag suspension that is dumped.

    Go ahead. Bring it.

By the way, my hydraulic setup out of my previous car. I'd love to see one of you smart asses know what the hell you're looking at, instead of talking shit.

See, if you were going to get technical, YOU would first need to prove what year that was from. You haven't presented proof of anything.

Btw, I fucking love hydro, and would do it over bags anyday.

lol. From talk of air suspension to posting pics of pumps. Your posts speak volumes of your immaturity. That car isn't the beginning of history. Go post that over in the minit truck forums and get laughed out of the forums.

Until I see an "old" pic of a "bagged" car, all this yappin' means nothing.

You bagged people need to thank this car, and this is what introduced the air suspension you all love today to the aftermarket scene. Even if this is not the first, it certainly is among the first.

Why doesn't anyone acknowledge that air today as you know it came from the minitrucking scene? Stop posting Citroens (which, by the way don't use air) and other OEM applications. I'm talking about the ingenuity to do something like this in a time when it was unheard of.

Because to make one picture he got an old camera, organized a meet for old school mini trucks with ass ugly period wheels, threw an old pepsi can on the ground and had some chick in the background dress like that.

Plus, now adays most people would have digital/DSLR cameras out or be on their cell phones.

On yeah, this appears to be a picture with flash of a daytime picture.

I don't mean to be an ass, but the photo speaks for its self. The photo is the proof.

Please show him a dumped car from pre 97 on a custom air bag suspension setup.

Even if you managed to find a photo of one, a custom air setup back then was rare.

I agree with this. They made it pop culture and the whole air'ed dragging thing was associated with that scene. My first bagged car was a thunderbird in 2k and it was rare to cruise with other bagged cars. All my friends had the trucks done up.

Well, I've heard a lot of people tell me how wrong I am, yet no one seems to find any better evidence of one.

This was a picture that I then took with my iPhone, hence the flash. Once again, you can all bash the minitruckin' scene, but you "stance" guys wouldn't be here without it.

Are you an idiot? I never said it wasn't old, what I said, was that he has no SPECIFIC proof of what SPECIFIC year it is.

He hasn't proven anything. He's posted up an older photo of a car on bags, therefor, his only arguable point is that bags have been around more than a few years. He has no specific information or data to prove this.

We already proved that Lincoln was using airbags(not airshocks) in 1988. They went low, that was part of the point of them. Custom? People were no doubt modifying the control system and the bags themselves back then. Give it up.

That Lincoln had factory air suspension. Oh wait, there is no point to me continuing this perpetual arguing. OK you all are right, I'm wrong.

Final note: the Lincoln has air struts, as many cars did before it. If you don't understand my point, then I'm sorry.

It used a bag. That's why the replacement parts are called "air springs" or "air bags". But you're getting a bit too dramatic, so I'll just stop.
