Understood but that's a broad generalization. Everywhere I've lived, I haven't seen the home depot lip and I've lived in quite a few different places over the years. Anyway, the thread got derailed enough.

where i live, all the "modified" hondas out here either have those home depot lips or the oem ones which i preferOriginally posted by CrackerTeg View PostI wouldn't say that.
alot of 240's have them out here to, but thats because they actually drift them and dont have money to waste on front lips

last pic, isnt my car. its a 93 ls400 on xxr 526's.....the only example pic i could find on the webs.Originally posted by Darksyde View PostHe stated that the previous owner put the lip on with rivets leaving him with little choice and it looks like there is no lip in the last picture. That aside more low and some proper wheels would be my suggestions.

yeah, build thread is coming soon. the lip looks good from afar, especially when coming at you from 50-20 yards away, after that.........yeah.
the car is already down about 3.5" from stock. according to willtheyfit.com i should be able to bring the car down another 1.5" with a simple exhaust snugging.

I would make a build thread in the build section. Other than that, I like the car.

Atlanta based LS400 checking in.....
whats up, you guys may remember me from this:
This car is not for everyone. It’s not gonna be for most people. Does best always have to do with nicest. In some cases – yes. We should be able to look at something that is finished and flawless, and admire it. But if, as a culture, that is the only path that we are […]
time to move on to another project. i present to you, my 93 LS400. Let the turd polishing began. i got the car and it had JIC magic J-Force o5's on it, 18x9.5 +28 all the way around, and sitting on JIC magic coilovers......blah!!!

wasnt feeling that at all. still not feeling the garden edging lip on the front either, but the PO, but it on with holy huge rivets, and its either huge gaping yellow holes in my bumper, or roll with the lip till i can find a front bumper or aftermarket clean applicable lip.
so moving on, the JIC's had to go. picked up a set of 18x9.5 +15 MB Battle wrapped in 245-40's up front, and 255-40's in the rear. i love the color coordination, the fitment, etc. but **** how it makes the car look, and the fact that theyre concave wheels.

sooo.....out with those.ive picked up a set of XXR 526's in hyper black, 18x9.5 +25 front, and 18x10.5 +15 rear. running 235-40' all around. this will allow me to bring the car 1.5" lower and still clear. the current battles are rubbing the front fenders at about 15 degrees of radius. the OP also rolled the fender very $#!+y like, and didnt remove the inner bolts. so im sourcing front fenders too. the xxr's are currently getting the mesh centers painted to match the charcoal lower trim of the car. hope to have them on by next week, and have some pics up. i did find this pic on the webz though.....gives you an idea.

I guess ill be making a build thread here, to share the journey as i polish this turd back to life. lots in store for the car. stay tuned.Tags: None
