    Here's a little story. . .

At MFest last year in vegas there were literally hundreds of beautiful M3s M5s and M6s from several generations. Many were modded from head to tail and most looked outstanding. Walking down the rows of cars looking at trunks full of stereo gear, roll cages and fuel cells, one car stood out as most bad ass. Why b/c it was crammed full of 4 people's luggage, (yep not very exciting it wasn't even nice luggage). What made it different? It had been driven non stop-cross country by a pack of 4 gearheads from Fluid Motor Union! On top of that looking at a row of nice clean m3's this thing flat stood out! It's exhaust note could wake the dead and the brakes behind the wheels indicated that it meant business. you may have seen it's feature in PBMW well here's a shot of it's trunk that weekend. That's right no beauty queen here it was built to be driven.

BE DIFFERENT! or be the same but DO IT BETTER. Being average just won't grab headlines.

Your car looks clean; you should be proud of it. Just as the majority had previously stated, you shouldn't be building a car for the approval of people on the internet or someone's internet diary.

If I had your car I would be proud to have such a nice clean and simple car.

At the end of the day you built a really nice car at a young age and should be proud of that. Whether or not some guy who has a blog likes it or not should really not decide whether you accomplished your goals with the car. Be happy and proud of it and if it ends up featured on a site somewhere, great. If not, it really isn't the worst thing in the world.

I'll throw a couple pics up as I've always really liked your car

this would honestly be expected of someone your age (no offense)
you shouldn't work on your car with the only goal of being featured by some site. Keep in mind the people who feature cars say on HF do it based on their opinion. OPINION.
As said, your car was mint, but it wasn't "hellaflush" and didn't "pop"
It was just a very clean m3 with amazing and clean ccws. but thats, in my opinion.
    see what i'm saying?

I really wouldn't worry about it and you shouldn't be building your car to try and get approval from some people running an online blog. Build your car for yourself so you can enjoy it. It's not a popularity contest. Just my 2 cents

i dont think its that your car doesnt look nice. i think its because there are so many e36's out there, that for someone to be featured, it really has to stand out.
and if you're modding for the recognition? its not the right way to go.
sure everyone wants to be noticed in their build and the amount of work they put into it, but if it's a cookie cutter look, then its gonna look the same as everyone else
hope this helped put this into perspective at least a little and didnt hurt you at all. cheer up man its not a big deal. if you love the car, then thats all that matters and people will see that.

word I never got featured either and was really hoping too oh well my stance will be even better with my rials.

I think the car mightv'e been a little too much like a lot of other e36s. Still looks amazing though.

cuz all you did was rims and a drop? :dunno:

don't get me wrong, thats all i'd do if i had your car as well, but clean and simple cars don't generally get the respek of more customized vehicles.

Well the car is all taken apart now and put back to stock, but I was always upset that the car never got a feature on either of my favorite blogs I guess(HF or SH). I constantly see cars on either sites that I feel have mediocre photography and that really aren't doing anything different or special(also some really amazing stuff). I felt this was my best photoshoot and was one of the best times in my car's life. I just would like some suggestions towards getting some features once I start my next project in a week or so. So the question is, how come I didn't make the cut?
