Our views of a track car differ in a few ways, but I'm not gonna start to argue in a thread thats isnt mine. If you care to argue feel free to pm me. Beautiful car op, and thats all that matters in this thread!

This was taken from the article
" As Otsuka-san told me the idea was to work with a few requests that his customer’s had. Not having too much time on his hands the owner wouldn’t be able to enjoy the GT3 RS on the track as much as he would like to, so wanted to spice up the looks, injecting a bit of street style, enough to get him noticed but in no way impacting the car’s awesome performance."

People here appreciate all types of cars, or at least most of us do.

As a GT3 owner I can see both sides of this debate. The owner of this car has a single set of wheels for the car. 18's (smaller than the OEM 19's that came on the car) are the correct choice for maximum performance in that application. Everything about that car from the 4.2L motor build to the Ohlins remote resivoir shocks is performance oriented so I feel the wheel choice was the right one for the purpose of that particular vehicle. I don't like black wheels at all personally but I do wish my CCW track wheels for my car were black sometimes because they're always ugly and dirty anyhow.
It's just the audience here is looking for something different. As others have stated it's a preference thing. People come here to appreciate agressively fitted cars which this particular example is not. I think you just have to frame that car for what it is to appreciate it.

Would much prefer something like this, which is also set up as a track car.

We're just stating our opinions like you have. So questioning someone's opinion is really just rather silly.

Guest repliedOriginally posted by EDM92 View PostYou stating that the HREs ruined the car is rather silly. Plain and simple. They don't look worse than the stock wheels. Do you think the car was "ruined" when it came with stock wheels from the factory?
Do I like that stance better on the car you posted? Sure. But this is a racecar set up, not a show car set up.
i never stated the HRE's ruined it. i stated that something like the photo i posted is more appealing to the eye. but okay
