    white walls
front wheels 4.5 with a 145/65/15 tire chrome rings , center hub caps and
    white walls

    --

The year is 1968… First time wings were used on F1 cars & people were protesting against the Vietnam War. 1968, also the year of Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy assassinations.
Yet, this was the year a hard working Belgian family-man spend all his money on buying his first real family car: a VW Beetle.

Years go by, and the bug rests on the same drive-way like a loyal dog waiting for his boss to take him for a walk. Unfortunately, the man thinks the time has come to buy himself a new car for his well earned retirement. One day, this beelte was put aside in a old shed, hoping some day…some one will come along and give her it’s freedom back.

One cold winter day, the barn-door gets pulled open. Dust is blown away from the pale hood, scared spiders running from under the front seat. In the doorway, standing a 23-year old guy, listening to the name of Sven. He heard the old man was selling a '68 beetle, and since Sven was searching for a new project for several months now, so he came to take a look. Sven was blown away at the first minute and made the deal as soon as he can.
She was in pretty good condition, except that the years have layed it’s hand on the exterior and engine, but with his profession as a mechanic, that won’t be an issue.

The original 1300 single carb engine was rebuilt, and got pimped with a chrome airfilter, bigger exhaust tips, red ignition cables and a chrome floorplate. The engine became as reliable as it first rolled out of the factory. Runs like a Swiss clock'work, only made in Germany.

The original Dolphine Grey was preserved and the chrome was polished. It’s was given sleepy eyes, foglights so it could see the open roads again.

Times were changed since the sixties…. She couldn’t go out in a normal jacket anymore, people needed to see her !
An air-ride system was mounted so she could kiss the streets she missed for so long, and to go even lower, the front axle was replaced by a puma frontbeam with dropped spindles.

She was ready, ready for a new life. She was back….back to stay!!
    Welcome back, my Bugaboo !
