  • Lexus LS400; It's Been Awhile

    it's been a good while since I've done the forum thing and swung through here. I got kind of discouraged over the last year from the whole car scene, but recently had the fire rekindled thanks to Mr. Burroughs and the rest of the fine gents at Stance Works. The last few months have been busy for me with getting my daily driver, a 2000 Lexus LS400 setup.

    This is probably what it looked like the last time I had visited the forums here;

    The car had sat like that for almost 2 years. It was my daily and I had another project I was working on. Well, I parted out that project and figured I had to do something with the LS. I recently picked up a NA Miata, and another toy, but the LS has been getting lots of love as of late. Re-finished wheels, a slew of Studio suspension parts, and some coilovers, and she was sitting better;

    then some more fender work in the back, and she's about as low as I want take her. I can still lower it quite a bit more, but as it sits my frame is about 1.5" off the ground with other parts hanging a bit lower;

    thanks =) just wanted to share my little, daily driver that I built for me.

              thanks all =)

              I know the wheels aren't to everyone's taste. I have a set of 18" Enkei V1s that I have as spares, and I'm working on rebuilding a set of 18" Volk GTUs, but I really like these 19" Enkei Phalenx. I'm planning on re-lipping them this winter, and probably get a set of Vossen CV3s to change it up.

                  I saw you on 394 that one day, and multiple other days. But I can't get over the first time I sped up to you to see what kind of car it was. First slammed LS I've seen in person and I love these cars.

                  What's in the future? Daily action?

                      I dig. Maybe run the rears on the fronts and re-lip the fronts for much wider rears? The amber side markers on the front bumper seem outta place. Minor detail, but any plans for those?

                        hey, was hoping you would chime in! Yeah, I've seen you a lot on my morning commute (I live off 394 and Penn)! I'm either in this or my red Miata, haha. It's still my daily for the spring/summer/fall, but it will sit this winter.

                        Love your BMW! I'd love to shoot it sometime =)

                        that's the plan actually for the wheels =) And yes, I want to replace the amber side markers for clear ones. I need to track a set down.
