Opinions on the wheels? I have no money to buy wheels at the moment, so I want to do something to make the stockers a bit more bearable. Ideas, thoughts, etc. appreciated.

dont be a ricer, if you dont have money dont mod your oems even since they are horrible. try to save and buy some style 5s OEMs those are nice for cheap and can look great with stretched tires. many of the guys on e46fanatics run them search it. or until you can afford mods remember even though your have an older generation of a BMW its still a BWM and not a civic (no offense to civic owners)

If anything, I'd probably do one solid color.

When I say no money I literally mean no money

But yeah agreed, not worth doing it unless your doing it right.

Looks like shit, but I don't think there's anything you can do to make those look good, just tough it out til you can afford something...at least the car's low

Back in the 40s if you wanted to hang with the big boys you had to build your shit. I know you cant just "build" a set of wheels for a bit of change but you catch my drift. Back then there was no internet, no mail order, no speed shop, no nothing. If you wanted a fast/cool car you had to make it and do it yourself. I **** when people ...**** on certain cars because they look thrown together or no money was put into them. Yes most thrown together cars look like sh!t but thats because the owner thinks the only way to have a cool car is the buy parts an pieces similar to what everyone else has but in a different color so his ride can be cool too. So he just covers his "shit" up till he can afford to replace it with something shiny he saw in a magazine ad that had a hot blonde chick in it. If you went to a junk yard that had some euro stuff in it and brought half an imagination with you there would be a possibility of building something out of nothing that would blow minds. look at parts and see if you can make something out of it. don't just throw money at a car til it looks bitchin.

I quite like the pchop of the simple paint schroedin. I say DO IT

Idk how cheap sawblades or salad shooters are in your area but where i am, i can find them for 200 a set. Then get some cheap (maybe used) tires to stretch on there. Yes its been done before (Seandub) but you could paint them yourself or w/e you feel like to be a little different. Id say dont touch the wheels you have and save the money for different wheels.

I paid 200 bucks for these:

                              +100 bucks used tires

i traded those for oem contours with new tires..

I paid 220 for these WITH snow tires and a 5th spare.. low offset too.:

I see these going for 200-300 ALL the time and you wont believe what I traded those for.. I just saw a mint set of 17x8.5 +13s going for 300 with tires...

Take that 40 bucks in paint and supplies and put it towards some wheels. Honestly how long has your car looked the same? Not knocking you, just saying that there's no way that within that time you couldn't save your pennies and do oddball jobs for people(shoveling driveways, mowing lawns, paintin shit) and scrape up a few hundred bucks.
