So I've been toying with the idea recently of adding flares to the rear of the car. But not just generic stick on flares, if I do this they will be fully integrated metal flares that can withstand being low.
Here is kind of what I'm thinking:

New MO position...
( will use 25mm H&R spacer to set it right until I sell them and buy other with new width and offset for the new arches )
The inner section cut to work on the panel...
...and closed:

^^ That is all the same guy's car, nice stuff as you can see. Anyone have any insights/tips/pointers? For reference the Works on my car are 18x8, the DZs on his car are 18x10 so he gained quite a bit of clearance, and honestly that's what I'm going to try to replicate. I'm not flaring the front, just the rear.

You know what I think is kind of funny/ interesting...I was going through the S/W coverage of the Avila show and your car appears in none of the pictures that I saw...not worthy? (in my mind it's as worthy as anything else in the pictures...)FlickHer

As far as not getting much coverage, there were a LOT of cars there that were awesome that didn't get as much coverage as I think they should have. I'm not down about it though, I just need to get the car out there more!
Its always interesting seeing the the looks the car gets, being a Focus its kind of in limbo between the US and Euro crowds. As you know, very few domestics are done this way and the traditional Euro guys don't realize this car was designed, engineered, (and thanks to a lot of money spent on my part) has a good portion of parts from Europe on it as well.

And yeah, these came off of the SEMA car. It was a bit of work to get them to fit how they do on a MK1, but overall I'm pretty happy with the result.
Thanks for the appreciation.
