I know, I'm too poor to be able to afford new coilovers at the minute.

You should ask Kielan how bad it was when he drove it, although him driving on the wrong side of the road towards on coming traffic probably didn't help

So that didn't last long, although it's now 30mm higher all round. I just need to order some camber arms for the rear to reel in the poke a bit..

I have thought about this on more than one occasion, but I personally don't think I'd ever be as happy as running on a decent coilover setup. That and I really can't afford a decent 4 way setup. I am slowly leaning towards doing a "static plus" style setup just to give me an extra 40mm lift when I need it.

That or I just buy 16's.

Eventually, I'd take it to a family pic of mine and introduce it to everyone. We'd date for a while until a nice G35 came around and enticed me with the leather seats and navigation that I would never even use anyway. I'd end up breaking that tegs heart and it would walk on me. THAT'S how much I love this car.

    you're welcome. lol

My DA Teg by Micheal Evans, on Flickr

So this is how it sits now, I know it's not the greatest and a huge step backwards but at the moment it's my only choice. So the next step is to buy some coilovers (preferably Broadways) instead of the sleeves I have been running on, then to find some wheels.

Mechanically I need to find a new gearbox, as mine decides to lose about 1.5L of oil a day, and a new radiator as I have a huge hole in it.

So basically this is the start of a huge overhaul..

Probably total confusion, followed by complete terror, followed by confusion again and ending in complete irritation. I'm surprised that you didn't cause more damage!
I don't think I've been more scared in a car before, I felt angry more than anything as my instant thought was "Oh shit there goes my engine that I just spent over £3k getting built." I guess that's what you get when you run less than 2CM clearance on your pan. So at the minute it is back at a retarded height, it might be alot of fun to drive but I can't bare to look at the fucking thing.

At the minute my main issue (apart from the massive gearbox leak) is trying to find a wheel that I actually want to run, and in 16's I haven't found many. I want something dished and concaved like the Minilites were. My other option is to change to bigger tyres, from 175 / 50 front and 195 / 45 rear to maybe 185 / 55 front and 195/50 rear.

Either way I am going to be dissapointed, I was so happy with how I had it sat that I think I'll always see bigger wheels / tyres as a step backwards.

Apt way of putting it. Sucks to hear though, good luck on finding 16's as dope on your car as the minilites did.
