Well 2009 as come and gone.. never would have I guessed StanceWorks turning into what it has today. The growth and success we've experienced in the past 7 months has been entirely because of you guys.
There have been a lot of changes, some good, some great, and perhaps some not quite to your liking... but in our eyes we're doing everything we can to grow this community and contribute everything we can to it.
Firs things first, I would like to introduce two new additions to the SW team. The first is Ben Terry (SN: Jedidiah). Ben is the man behind the Stance of the Union event we had down in TX earlier this year. It was a huge success for the mere 5-week conception-to-gameday timeline Ben had. Ben and I spent a lot of the weekend discussing different opportunities and what it would look like to collaborate together. From there, we discovered a like-mindedness to see dreams become realities and it became apparent he needed to be apart of the team.
The other is Nic Foster (SN: TheNeek). Nic doesn't really need a formal introduction as you are all familiar with his name and his perfect E21. Nic has been around from the get-go but I only feel its appropriate to say that Nic is an integral part of StanceWorks and has also been a huge help in the upgrades SW has received as of late.
Next I want to finally make a formal introduction to the main-page layout and channels.
We've gone through a lot of site layout changes over the past few months, but only recently have we come upon something that really suits our needs while also staying clean, sleek, and simple. There are more minor changes to come, but we hope you feel at home on the homepage, as we're very pleased with where we're at.
You may have noticed our "channel" icons and inherently the incredible increase in daily content on StanceWorks. We're MORE than excited to be working with CanIBeat, 786 Motoring, Refined Elegance, Swang N Bang, and ThoseGuys. Be sure to check their channels for a closer look at exactly what they represent.
We're also excited to be announcing the StanceWorks: Exclusive program. Stay tuned, an official thread will come soon!
And since you're here, I'm sure you've noticed the new Forum layout. We've tried to make it blend a bit better with the main-page, but more importantly, we've tried to fix everything that previously didn't work... we want to make this community the best one out there, and making sure everything works is a good start, eh?
Lastly, 2009 is coming to an end, but if you think its been a wild ride, just you wait to see what we have in store in 2010.. I guarantee you... jaws will drop.
