  • E46.. finally got some stance.. camber help?

Finally got the wheels on. BBS LM's 19x8.5 et 15 up front. And 19x9.5 et 20 in the rears.

SO I am getting a ridiculous amount of rubbing on the rears. I'm going to raise them up for the time being. The tires are 225/35/19 so they do have a fare amount of stretch.

But I'm wondering what everyone else used for cambering the rears.

If you roll your rear fenders properly you shouldn't rub at all.

And what wheels are those really? I know they aren't really LMs.

Oh sorry they are LM reps. And the rears are rolled, they still rub.

Are they rubbing on the fender or just the bumper plastic?

they're rubbing on the fender. They actually rub worse after rolling the fenders. They weren't too bad before, just rubbed whenever I hit a big dip in the road. But after having the fenders rolled they rub on every bump and even on turns when the weight of the car shifts. Luckily I live downtown Portland so I can commute by bike until I raise it up tomorrow on my day off.

I think you should try really getting that lip flat, there is no reason that it should rub with those offsets, with a good roll.

I can safely say that you're doing something wrong.

Obviously there is something wrong... I took them to a reputable shop to have them rolled. I'm going to give them a call when I'm out of class today. Just hoping to have this resolved so I won't be tearing up a set of brand new tires.

Lol a little rub isn't going to ruin your tires.

cant you just look at it and see what's going on?

doesnt take rocket appliances to see two things touching eachother. Just so you can see if it's something simple like your bumper dragging like it does on e36s

Yes, the fender is rubbing on the wheel. It's been established. But, what I am curious about is to why, after rolling the fenders, it would get worse. I will be diving in tomorrow to roll/inspect them further more.

Back to the question I posted at the beginning, what is the best choice for rear camber adjustment?
