  • Still not low enough.. but clean Alti

I decided my car finally looks OK enough to post here. I dont think its "showroom" worthy, but im a longtime member and i had like 3 intros lol

Its a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5. When i bought the wheels, i got the beefy tires cause i just had lowering springs on it, and it handled well and was comfortable. I didnt plan on slamming it again, no budget for coilovers....

...But then i took a trip to Maryland for a Stillen front lip AND full set of Ksport coilovers, which the fronts were blown. Got the lip and coilovers for $300. Yup, helluva a deal.. then ordered new replacement shocks for the fronts that were blown, and now i have pretty much brand new coilovers! I have the set at about 5 clicks from hard, so its a stiff ride but still comfortable.

This car can go WAY lower, but like i said i need to get maybe 225/45 tires instead of the 245/45 i have on here now. then it will rub less. im not looking for a crazy stretch stance, but i DO wanna go lower. and i took these with my cell phone (major violation lol) but they look ok still.

I take critics very well, good or bad, but ill save the trouble. YES i need more low, YES i need smaller tires. and YES i need some kinda spoiler, the rear looks plain lol

    thanks for looking!

    Specs:

18x9 et35 Enkei GTV lightweight 2-piece wheels in original polish finish (circa 04)
    245/45/18 Goodyear Eagle RS
Muteki lightweight forged steel red lug nuts
    Stillen front lip
    Ebay grille
kinda rare all clear Ebay tails lol
    Custom eyelids
    Megan racing header
    Tsudo catback exhaust
    15% tint all around Suntek
Ksport coilovers with 36 way damper and adjustable camber up front
    Racingline Front strut tower bar
two tone leather seating (no pics cause their not mint lol)
The Hundreds decal and another decal to come soon! hahahahaha

oh and by the way, even how it sits now, frame is less then iphone height from the ground.

iphone height? like... the longest measurement of an i-phone? ..... Is that good?

Regardless, car is clean, not sure about the wheels but you're definitely off to a good start.

And don't be so desperate for everyones approval.

Oh and I said less than an iphone..,i have a droid its half heightof that... I used iphone as a unit of measurement cuz most people have them lol ill get actual height in inches when im done dialing in.

This would look a lot cleaner if you lost the eye lids/grille/tails!

Sweet ride bro! I'm more of a two wheel, v-twin kinda guy.....but recently started looking into mod'ing the wifeys "paid off" '04 Altima. Thought I'd start soon before she starts looking into buying a new car. lol. I can't imagine having a car payment after about 2 years. How is the Megan header working out for you so far? Also, I'm not sure how long you've had this wheel/tire and lowered setup, but how do they effect alignment and tread wear?

well after swapping suspensions, u need an alighnment to avoid future uneven tire wear. but i just took the coilovers out, cause im going stock again. right now i have the coilovers for sale for $700 shipped, but im accepting offers. they are GREAT coilovers. they can go really low. they fit all 02-06 Altimas.

about the header, its great i can feel a gain, but my secondary cat is goin bad. hit me up if ur interested in the coilovers, u wont find them cheaper than 900 nowadays.

NICE!! If you don't mind me asking, why are you getting rid of your coilovers? If I read correctly, you bought them used, right? How long have you had the coilovers on your ride?

i bought them used with the front shocks blown, then i orderded brand new shocks from Ksport, and then i rebuilt them myself. its easy just remove all the hardware and put it on the new shocks. so their like new condition! They handle amazing. The rears have plenty of life left cause commonly the fronts always go first on coilovers.

anyway i only had them on for barely a week, then just decided all together to go stock again. I just **** modding this car lol i want something classic or fun to play with. I only got them to slam it, and here is a pic of it slammed VERY low, so much so i couldnt barely move the car down the street with the frame scraping lol. but this is only cause i had 225/40/18s i was tucking and you can set it higher and drive fine.
