far from a rat rod buddy. Now if you had a chop top, solid suspension with the car maybe 2 inches off the ground, chopped front and rear fenders with stupid aggressive wheels and a side exit exhaust(or something to that degree) then i may see you as a rat rod enthusiast. Paint that hood and respect what you got.

Are you mistaking the rusted hood of the wagon in the first post with the completely rusted sedan of a different member several post down? Or is a rusted hood considered a rusted body now?

Looks like the OP can spray the hood, do what you yourself suggested and have a heck of a nice touring!
