Thanks again to all the nice comments.

      To address some peoples comments-

About the wheels they are manufactured as "golf cart wheels" but they are rated for 500lbs stamped at the back. My current Minilites are rated for 250kg which isn't far off, the car is estimated 1600-1700lbs max. Of course I am going to run these rims very cautiously at first, and then report back. I have seen 2 people run them successfully with no problems, on the road and autocross.

I plan on making a video about the wheels, with caliper measurements and weight measurements comparing it directly to my minilites, the standard of rims for the Mini world. Sorry for nerding out there but to the gentleman/woman who made that post, you seem to know what you're talking about for the mini scene at least.

About the video, I recently sold my video camera and am hopefully picking up a 60d or t2i for video. I will update this thread once I get a rig hooked up - bother me about it if I forget to check. Nothing interesting, just imagine a small car that is a bit quick.

Finally, I do have one or two videos of me driving it for the first time but again its nothing special. The engine installation one is the coolest so here it is:

      [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClKRAtRZn2I"]Building a Vtec Mini - Engine Installation - YouTube[/ame]

I don't know if you can embed on this site so please help me out if you can.

I had to come up with a way to put the engine in by myself, and I recorded it so I can remove it in the future.

Thanks again for the kind comments, makes me feel nice in ways I'm not too sure I'm comfortable with.

Edit- Figured out the video embedding... *facepalm*

Also, I have to comment on the type of people here, its nice to see a car forum which isn't full of people who can't punctuate and spell properly.

        So thank you.

That has to be one of the best documentary time lapse videos I've ever seen.

You've built yourself a fantastic car here, friend.

Awesome! Pretty much same age as me, also building a proper Mini. Admittedly mine doesn't have a Vtec engine as insurance in the UK is bad enough as it is, without fitting stunning engines to Minis!

Awesome car, awesome quality and awesome you worked so hard to pay for it rather than bank of mum and dad. Top work man! Super jealous!

That video sounds good! But I bet as soon as you post about your success with them, every Mini owner will have a set!

I'm sure I've watched that video before too...weird.

After the CV let go on the highway because of a faulty clip, rebuilt it all again, harder springs in front swapped over tires myself.

Will probably let the lettering slowly fade, looks a bit silly!

All I can really say is, Wow. Its seems like you poured a ton of hours into this car and the end result really shows it. Outstanding job.
