Its been an ongoing project of mine, I just fully detailed her yesterday so I just wanted to share. I need better pics but this was taken with my point and shoot.
and one of the house with the car.
After following the thread, I have to say I love the car, but the peak appearance for me is really in the above pics (the first post). I've owned many cars and am addicted to come up with changes and new mods. Sometimes I get to a point where I start changing for change's sake and the outcome worsens. The most understandable example of this outside the car world is plastic surgery and people like Michael Jackson and Bruce Jenner. That is supposed to be an illustrative example and not a direct comparison.
The 2012 front end is nice, but the fender/door gaps make it look unfinished. The tail lights were perfect in red. The gold wheels could work, but the flat black murdered-out look is so popular now, it seems most modified black Mustangs and Camaros are going for it. Those changes made it look a bit more common and it started out more unique in the above pics. Who knows, I might be the only person who feels this way, so take it with a grain of salt. In the end it is your car, so you should do whatever you want.
My first JDM project after decades of European cars!
I understand exactly what you're saying but this is a hobby and I just wanted to change it up. Believe it or not I will get the fenders done.
Being a hobby I can't do it all at once bc I will get bored and run out of things to do. I love the car in all of its stages. Some more than others I'm just having fun changing it up.

no.. you are not alone... i like this mustang better in this shiny paint pics..!!!
Though I think it would look better with glossy paint, it's your car. That's what makes it badass, it's something that not a lot of people would think that they would like. It kind of throws out the idea of being normal and comes together to make a seriously mean looking car.

110% agree with this. Huge fan of the look he was talking about, not so much the newer look. Simplicity is key.
