  • MK1 Wolfsburg Cabby (work in progress)

**Update** 2 new pics Courtesy of my buddy Ian at Lowered Lifestyle

Figured I'd share the new project and the progress that was made this weekend. Coils and wheels were taken care of but fine tuning is still required, and lots of it. Toe and camber issues need to be corrected, along with some pretty hefty rubbing. As for the hood, I wrapped it in argyle vinyl only as a temporary solution to a very trashy-looking flat black hood. The car should be getting resprayed after this season. More to come.

    And 2 cell phone pics:

Thank you sir. It's got its fair share of chips and dings. Only 85k miles on the clock though.

          Thanks man

Definitely going to be painted but the paint has seen better days so color matching it would have been near impossible. I will be respraying the entire car in a few months. Just moving into a new house and money is a little tight at them moment.

Interesting idea. It definitely does need a full respray though, but what can you expect after 23 years haha

                Looking good!
I think the Cabriolet bodykit is the only way to pull of 16s without looking awkward on a Mk1...

When you respray it, please shave those sidemarkers!

These are actually reps unfortunately haha. ESM 009 to be exact. I did it for that exact reason though. I didn't think that the 16's would look good on the cabby and Borbet doesn't make a 15" type A.

On a brighter note, I already have planned to shave the side markers before the respray and possibly the antenna but I'm still debating that.

Its an '89 so its CIS. Only 84k miles on it as it sits haha. All I did was put an alternator and battery in it. Basically stole it
