  • New to "stance" how am I doing?

A proper shoot will be coming later, but I washed it today finally after getting it aligned after the suspension swap and fender work. Check my build thread for more details or shots of where it came from.

I'm also looking for some advice, the front tires are federal 205/45 that are shot, and rears are Dunlop 215/40.

I'm looking to bring the front end up a bit and close a little wheel gap so I'm thinking 205/50 in the front with 215/45 in the rear Falken 452's. Thoughts?

Rim specs are 17x8.5 et18ish (I need to measure these cause I dont trust the PO's specs) and 17x10 et13 (measured)

looks like a great start to me, front could maybe come down a bit to eliminate the gap.

I used to have a turbo 2006 Focus.
    Then I had an E30 vert, LGT, and a B5 S4.
    Now I have an STI, 1999 V70, and a 5.0TT FC.

would have zero clerance on my lip if I came down anymore and my x-brace already scrapes a bunch around here they like to put expansion joint speedbumps on our highways...

Looks good! Most of us run 205/40 and 215/40. If you want more tire, go with 205/45 and 215/45. DO NOT use a 50 series on an e36.

any idea if the federals just run chunky vs 452's? I want a little more stretch in the front too...

These are excuses. The average height for e36s around here is probably over an inch lower, so we can assure you it's doable. I don't run an x-brace and have plenty of clearance for the important bits.

Federals are definitely chunky compared to Falkens. Falkens are usually the skinniest in a given size.

Well I dont want to loose my AC Schnitzer pieces though... heh.

I'm compromising... Motion Motorsports underpanel and custom aluminum skidplate over the x-brace in the works.

If you had to drive on our roads, you'd have excuses too.

Federals are the chunkiest tires EVER! A 215/40 Feddy will sit like 225/40 in your wheel...

thanks for the heads up on that, as i was thinking of trying them too.
What about Archilles ATR, are they chunky too? Ive read a few good things about those too.
