started a topic Cracked Barrel means more wide.

    Cracked Barrel means more wide.

We"ll I finished refinishing my RS's about 4 Weeks ago. I went to a show in Louisville called Water By The Bridge and had an awesome time with my lady and friends. Then when I was leaving work the Tuesday after the show I noticed my right side front was low on air. Filled it up with Air and went home. I went to go to work Weds and found the same wheel as flat. Took it off to see if I could find the problem and found it in seconds...

The barrel was cracked in 2 spots. To must this would just piss you of but to me I knew it was time to make the front wider. The 17x8 et 15 was hold the car when aired out and I could not drive nearly as low I normally did. So after some time searching I found two 17x7" barrels and it was game on.
This is how the front sat before..

    Wheels split.

    Rebuild.

    Finished.

    New wheel specs are..
    Front- 17x9 et28 205/40 Falken 512's
    Rear- 17x9.5 et25 215/40 Falken 512's

Front can lay subframe again and I can also drive at my normal drive height again.
I'll get better pictures soon but till then here is one.
