Hey what's up guys, made a lot of progress with the e39 recently so I thought I'd throw up some shots. New wheels are going on as soon as Adaptec makes my adapters (don't mind the poke on the test fit shot, wheel wasn't on the hub). I'm not much for teasers as you can tell :p

Thanks guys! Im really excited/nervous about how they'll turn out because I've never seen amg 3piece style wheels on an e39. I think the main reason is because 17s are the most common diameter (whether they are starform, zauber, stich, or real amg), and 17s generally look too small on the big e39 body. The cool thing is that these are 18s, so they should look just right. Also, with the adapters I'm getting made (5x112 -> 5x120) these wheels will be sitting flush in the front and poking about 1/2" in the rear, hopefully everything fits.

Right now the wheels are 18x8.5 with 205/40 and 18x10 with 215/40. I'm a little scared to run such a big stretch because the e39 is pretty heavy, so depending on how much room I have I'll probably end up with 215/40 in the front and 225/40 in the rear. That way the stretch isn't too extreme, our roads in tallahassee kinda suck!

I might be putting them up for sale when the new wheels go on. I had them recently refinished with a polished lip and a metallic silver center. Bad pic but here's a shot of the finish
