I fucking love it. It's so hard to come across a clean one up here, but when it happens, I'm doing what you did. It's been my dream to have a '67 bagged if tail coupe, or sedan.

It's amazing how much MORE character this car has being that low.
    Nice work.

spent the weekend in Atlanta with my southern S/W family, went to a sweet BMW meet, saw some awesome Alpina e28s and had a blast seeing everyone.

Mr. Jeremy Whittle is missing in action from this picture*

The Mercedes is down for the time being, need to locate a draw on my battery and also get my drive shaft carrier bearing replaced. hoping to be back cruising around by this weekend!

I posted a question about this on yahoo group for W108 owners. There are some really knowledgeable old-school Benz guys on there. They re-confirmed with me that all 6 cylinder w108s were offered with only a 4 speed no 3 speed auto. Regardless of whether on the column or floor. My car is a column shift and is a 4 speed, I can hear it shift through all 4 of its gears. It does not, however, show 4 selections on the gear indicator. I can easily hit 80-90 and I don't push it. I'm not trying to prove you wrong, just trying to help out. You may want to check out the yahoo group, its a great place for info.

Again, love the car. We W108 owners should get together and share info. I haven't lowered my car yet. I've only had it about a month. I will be cutting springs soon!

For me, I feel like a kid in a candy shop around it, I feel a big body car just got bigger when it got closer to the ground. and the ridiculously designed rear diffs in these cars that cause the heavenly camber... ohhhh boy. this car as it sits, hits every point for me, and that's what its all about in my opinion!
yea definitely. i just really like it cuz its different! this car slammed like that is not really something you get to see a lot even with having the internet at our fingertips.

what are you running for suspension if you dont mind me asking?

also i know i said i like the stock look slammed but i feel like if this had some nice 3pc classic style wheels it would be that much more awesome!
