That thing must sound like perfection. makes me want to get one for myself and start a new project. i love the curves of the body on the m coupe when it has wheels that fit it so well. what sizes are the wheels? personally i like the polished lip side, but both look really nice with the color scheme.

this Mcoupe makes me want to drop everything and get my hands on one.
Stunning car.

what was done to the fenders to get the rounded edge to be so perfect? not just a pull, but i assume prep and a full repaint. there is no flat edge like a stock Mcoupe like the one pictured below
Any links to a build thread or a full mod list? looks like a ton of work to the body of the car to shave almost everything, but completely worth it. i love clean cars with no badging or extra stuff.Attached FilesLast edited by 1badg35; 12-12-2009, 12:37 PM.sigpic

Fenders were cut and pulled in the rear about 3/4" on either side. They were shapped to keep the natural flow of the rear fender. Same was done to the front but there was a good amount of work getting the fedner "pulled" on the hood portion. The reinforced welds came down further than the flat lip portion and had to be cut back and then welded after the pulled look was acheived.
Other than that alot of smoothing, swaped the M rear out for a Z3 rear and shaved the tailgate, boser hood, and no ugly signals or reflectors.
Cheers,
Rob

[QUOTE=Silverspooler;65671]There was a whole lot of work. I think you could find an old thread on bfc if you search my screen name but I will make a long story short.
Rob, I am in love with the way this car is coming out. We have very similar styles it seems. all the body modifications definitely paid off. looks on point. I love minimalist clean cars that highlight the curves.
I searched BFc and wish the photos still loaded, but at least now i see what you are working with. Definitely a project i want to see more of.sigpic
