  • My C5 A6 trying something a little different

Finally got out to take a few pictures of the A6 today. I've had the car for about 8 months, bought it to fix and flip and kind of fell in love with it. Used to drive a 98 VR6 Jetta that was too low for comfort so driving an old man car for a while sounded good.
    Specs are as follows:
2011 Audi Q5 wheels; 19x8 with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's (235/35-19) and centering rings from ECS tuning
H&R coilovers (need dialed in a bit more due to the reverse rake)
Audi Allroad brushed aluminum door blades
ECS tuning lightweight crank pulley (stock one got destroyed from engine dammage before i bought the car)
    ECS "Race" N75 valve
    Dahlback racing Diverter valves
Hopefully will be adding sway bars and an APR tune to prepare for a few track days in the coming months.

anyway, on to the pictures (first time with new lens and haven't used the camera in months)

also sorry imgur resizing made the pictures look like shit, I'll work on it.

    Very clean!

How do you like the ride on those coils? I'm picking some up very soon. How much lower can they go?

They ride perfect for me, not harsh at all at the height i'm at (car full of 4 people and full trunk from columbus to chicago, about 5 hours, and no one complained about harshness). the coils have a lot more room to go, the front will likely go down another 25mm to finish it off. Front and rear have at least 70mm more to go.

I also forgot to mention that the progressive rate springs that they use for the H&R coilovers makes a big difference in ride quality, It's not as stiff overall as the single spring rate coilovers available for the A6, less harsh over bumps but still keeps stiffness through the twisties. They're perfect for a daily driver.

Thanks!! I'd never seen them done before, and working at a dealership I had one good one laying around from an insurance claim (one small scratch smaller than my little fingernail), and bought a set of four with one curbed real bad on the cheap.

It was an experiment of sorts I suppose, I don't think I've seen anyone else running these.

to me those wheels are too narrow

either space them or get wider wheels

like how they look on your car tho
