  • The greatest (and maybe oldest) junkyard of classics EVER

ok, as im making my rounds at work delivering, i come across this junkyard in the sticks of Nottingham, PA in Chester County. It looks old as hell, and as i pass along the farmlands through the trees all i see is CARS CARS CARS CARS and their all old or weird or whatever. I decide to pack up me my brother and my friend and go check this place out. Here are pics from my brothers Sony point and shoot... all i can say is WOW there wasnt enough time to take all the pictures, you had to be there in person to appreciate how these old cars and nature took their courses together, and how historic some of these cars are, and what they coulda been if restored.... only REAL classic car people can appreciate these pics, so here ya go!!!

Damn! I mean that in both the good and bad tense. Those are(were) all beautiful cars, and could have been sold to people that wanted to restore them, but most of them look to be beyond saving.

Reminds me of a yard I've driven by on the way to Calgary AB on the Trans Canada Highway. There's a large house and a small field, maybe 200-300 ft by the same just packed with older cars. Not as old as those and in much better shape from what I saw during my little walk through. There was a few early Supra's, some fox body Mustangs, and an SA chassis RX-7 that I went to look at. Lots more but that's what stuck out to me. I think the owner might be a bit of a hoarder because I asked if he'd be willing to part with any of the RX-7 parts and he said something about swapping the completely trashed body kit onto another 7 he had. Meanwhile the car is absolutely surrounded by other cars and in the weeds, and it's been there for probably over 5 years. It's a shame when people don't want to let others that would enjoy fixing these cars or using the parts get at them when it's obvious they won't ever get around to it.

                This is fucking awesome.

I work with/know a lot of people that grew up in the 50's and 60's and listening to their stories about cars back then kinda makes me wish I had lived in those days.

I really have an appreciation for old muscle, this thread delivers.

For some reason im not surprised at all this is in PA.

I one time stumbled upon something similar to this in Mountain Top Pa looking for a VW parts warehouse. It in turn just ended up being a whole ton of old aircooled VWs and some mk1s from what i remember. It was pretty cool to see.
