So fucking baller. There's just something about these cars-- cars from this era in general-- that you just don't get anymore.

Love it. Especially the light patina in the paint. It looks awesome.

Yes! Was thinking that this car was the UK and was confused by the Cali plates but then saw the last picture.

Looks fucking awesome man. Hope to see it this year.

Car is sick man. I really need to get my Ghia back on the road.....my damn E24 is distracting me to much lol.
Post it up on the samba and watch all the purists turn over dead.

I want to see a video of this thing driving around UK roads.
Also I was wondering if you had anything in mind as to what you are going to do about the wheels?
I know you are rocking the classic look/wheel/fitment setup on a ghia but are you planning on something else?

srsly though how do you drive it that low in the front?

1st picture shows the rear part of the front fender nearly sitting on the brick pavement while the last picture shows it at a much higher level from ground

Haha glad you like it! And hopefully that means my pics aren't too bad (well, the post processed ones anyway)

Ooh nice! Gonna raise the floorpans to prevent them from dragging? (assuming you're going to slam it) Mine are still as standard, but with a few dents.

They do look good though, now they've been powder coated:

Yea man, I think classics are just classier than modern cars - lines that you'd never see on modern cars.

Yea, the patina really got me into the car when I first saw it - its just not something you see everyday.

Haha you should finish it! I doubt your car is ugly in comparison, lol - Still very nice cars regardless!

Haha, it is really not too bad to drive. I've seen lower static. and plan to go slightly lower for summer as it feels too high as it is. Every time I look at my pics of it, the floor-sill gap just seems to get bigger in my head.

Yea UK car! It was close to Derby a fair bit in 2010 - Used it for a couple of weeks while I was at uni in Notts, took a few drives over to Derby (and (literally) dragged it to Rollersnakes shop).

Cheers Yea man you should do it! A surprising amount of S|Wers seem to have Ghias - it is awesome

Haha, it is already up on the Samba

I would love someone to video me driving around UK roads. And photo it.

I'm not really sure where I'm gonna go with the wheels on the Ghia - I'd probably stick to classic wide 5 fitment (5x205) which doesn't leave too many options unfortunately. Maybe if I save up a bit, I had considered going Porsche wheel route, but only classic styles like Fuchs.

I do plan to have a bit of a wheel change this year though, and am slowly buying the bits for it - Just to mix it up a bit, as it has been on these Randars since 2007. Gonna be cheap and cheerful though, and it'll be a step towards a style I've long admired (Although not to everybodys taste)

Haha it isn't that bad to be honest. The odd thing with this suspension is that if it is parked on uneven ground, it'll really show in how it looks - sometimes it'll look ridiculously high, sometimes stupidly low. Also depends if I've had passengers or not, lol.

For example, in this pic, there had been 2 fairly large (including me) chaps in the car driving around for an hour or so. We'd just dragged the entire sill and jacking points over a rubber speedbump, and then parked - and my car was pretty much sitting on the floor:

But, I think this is a fairly accurate representation of the height it generally sits:

The rear is a bugger for looking drastically different heights depending where it is parked/driven.

Some rolling shots from a shoot I did with a couple of friends of mine, who were kind enough to use my camera to get some pics of me

Have had to make a few necessary changes for the moment, which has given the car a bit of a different look... Many people think it doesn't look half as good, but I like it.

I too prefer the stockies. This ghia is what got me into wanting to get back into an aircooled
