  • Tonight's little photoshoot

While I'm sure my pictures don't come close to my the likes of MBurrough's or any of the other stancework OG's out there, I was just out having fun with my camera and new carro.

Here you can see the freshly painted and sparkly floor boards, if you've ever worked on miata interiors you probably know that the ECU sits under a plate against the fire wall on the passenger side and you probably also know that this spot is a notorious rust pit. Coincidentally so was mine.. So I took a dremel to the entire section and painted it all in black rust stopper/ preventer.

I know my exhaust is gay, as much as I **** it too, I love getting the "goddamned teenagers" look when I drive by people. The fact that I also have a dime sized exhaust leak probably doesn't help either

    some hella JDM xxr's haha

    Lolwut

    Casual solo cup haha

Here you can see my sweet mismatching turn signal housings, they actually came in the trunk of the car and I didn't realize it for the first 3 or 4 days I owned the car and just rocked the bulbs hanging out of the housing hole. You can also see the 5% tint strips at the top AND BOTTOM of the windshield, the PO had every piece of glass he could done in 5%, luckily the windshield has a mean crack and I can get my insurance to cover it replacing it .

Admiring my filthy engine bay haha.

Though you probably can't tell I was sideways at like 30+ in this picture, the light was definitely working against us.

I really liked the lighting in this picture.

I love playing with shutter speed, 12 seconds seemed to be the magic number for this shot.

My friends usdm mustang, the car is actually red but I was having trouble adjusting the white balance to the odd hazy yellow lighting in the alley. I figured I'd post it because he's a stance dreamer who's constantly on here and I figured he'd like to see a pic of his ride for a change.

Obviously the car is far from perfect, but I'm definitely slowly nursing it back to health, my goal is to have it to a point where I'm content with it by the end of this summer.
I'll be doing a drift and autocross event in the next two months and I'll hopefully have lots of media from them, until then I'll just be working on solidifying the car and trying to clean it up in any way possible.

Not really sure why you started two threads with the same set of pictures. I understand the "build" thread, but at least post pictures of the "building" over there.

Pictures look alright, really needs some help with the white balance. I presume you're shooting with a non DSLR due to quality.

Exhaust is umm... yeah. It is...

Hopefully you can turn this thing around nicely and get it sitting pretty without too much work.

what do you want us to say? literally nothing about that car has anything to do with what this site is about.

It is a miata, so it has potential.

            bad pics.

that exhaust just makes me sad.

WTF's a USDM Mustang? As opposed to a JDM Mustang? SMH.

I know the exhaust is terrible, I bought the car a little over a week ago with the exhaust in all it's fart-tastic glory, the kid that owned the car before me was an idiot but I needed a car and the price was right. To top the stupidity off he welded the exhaust hanger on the can to the bumper support which snapped the weld at the exhaust so it now has a dime sized leak and sounds absolutely terrible. I know it's not stanced out yet, I'm working on it, coils and a garage vary style lip will be ordered in the next few weeks. As I'm sure all of you can see the car is really rough but I'm slowly nursing it back to health. I should be picking up a matching, non cracked set of front turn signals and atleast getting the leak welded up tomorrow. The pictures were actually shot with a d3000, I haven't shot anything in the last few months and was definitely struggling with the lighting and the parameters of the kit lens.

Wow... you might want to take a photography class to learn how to use that thing.

If this is what you call "nursing" a "classic" back to "health" ....... .. .. I don't want kids these days to see what cars looked like before 1987

Just because you have a car and a camera doesn't mean you should post in the showroom, I have a car and a camera but I don't think it has the quality to deserve a post here, should have left it in the build section.

When did I call it a classic? It's a '93 miata, it's no where near "classic" status.

I get that now, I think I was just excited overly excited last night. I'm just glad I now have something with potential. I've been complete "fanboy" status for like 4 or 5 years now (most of you probably still think I am one). All I wanted was something with potential, something I could get my hands dirty and learn to work and drive in. I've been around the local drift community here since I was about 7 and have always dreamed to be the one out on track instead of the one watching, and while my car is far from ready to perform well on track I finally have something that can serve that purpose.

It needs work, but being a Miata its got potential.

Yeah I say keep it coming out of there but have it a solid pipe/straight pipe and get rid of the stock exhaust cutout from the bumper. It looks tucked up when it comes out the side like that which will look super dope if you slam the living hell out of the car.

Pics are pretty bad for a pretty nice camera. And yeah I dunno why you called it USDM mustang???

BTW your seats look so dirty and nasty!
And I would paint the wheels silver to make them look like your stock wheels.
