  • Low Daewoo Tico

    Hello,

    Just want to present my Daewoo Tico, a work in progress. I am a big fan of lowered cars and went through a great deal of searching in order to find the know-how for customizing this car. Aftermarket parts are not available so everything was done manually. The springs are compressed by someone who heats them up evenly an then compresses them to the height you want. The shocks are, again, manually modified by a dude who does this kind of work for drivers in our national racing tournament.

    The car is pretty standard, except the suspension; The engine is a small 0.8 L, producing ~ 52 Bhp, but it's enough for me (for now of course).

    This spring the car will receive a custom paint and a set of widened steel wheels (from 4.5 J to 6 J with 165/55/13" white wall tyres)

    Enjoy the photos:

    Well I like that you decide to modify something that's not a Honda or a BMW! Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

        @Hayden: It really is strange looking - like a box I might add , but it's very popular in the city.

        @Shade: Thanks. I too am very curious what can I make of this car. One thing is sure, it will be lower.

              I usually upload all my pictures to www.imageshack.us and copy/paste the "forum code" into my message.

                  Why would you even think about modding a Daewoo?
                  Nothing wrong with driving one, just don't see a reason to mod it.

                          Why do you feel the need to be condescending to 99% of the people on here?

                          I think modding a Daewoo is awesome. There's no reason to give the guy a hard time about it.

                            Thank you CubbyChowder and Zayan.

                            @PavelK313: I tried because this is my first car and I've grown attached to it, and you really don't see mods of this particular model here in our country. I am now trying to buy a vintage car, but it will take a while until I raise the cash, so I'm going with this one for now.

                            @indy510: I will

                            @coconutt: Thank you!

                            I will ow try to put some pictures from flickr (please tell me if they are visible):

                              The car is based on a Suzuki Alto and I attached the below link so you can see what can be achieved with this "key car" - that is the name of this class of cars.
