as far as i know keskins are replicas man. KT1 is made to ressemble oz futura/hamann pg1, but im not saying i **** them though, they look great and TUV approved too!

Secondly thats true - designt is "stolen" from OZ Futura.

Third thing is that they're actually not good quality. I owned a set of KT5s back when i had my MK3 like 5 years ago. I ran them for two summers, no winter drive. Clear coat started to peel off very soon and all kinds of imperfections appeared on the faces and the little dish they had. The fake bolts had their "chrome" peeling off too.

Every wheel manufacturer that has enough money can get TÜV certificates for their wheels as long as they have enough money. The reason why the wheels market in Germany is so "little" compared to the UK, US and whatnot is because manufacturers dont make enough profit out of selling new wheels. Market is still too small for the high costs of having every single wheel design Tüv approved.
This is quite a complicated process as they have to produce like 10-20 sets of prototype wheels which then are tested by Tüv. During this process the wheels are being destroyed.
If one test fails all of the wheels are being destroyed and the manufacturer has to repeat the entire process.

Also those Tüv certificates refer simply to the forces a wheel has to withstand to ensure road safety. It does NOT refer to the quality of the finish.
