slammed and boosted focus sedan

hey guys

here's my 2006 zx4 ST focus.

its got a 2.3 duratec, recently installed a stage 2 turbo kit with a garrett gt28r. only a t25 but im putting down around 250whp @11psi on 93 octane, and in a car thats only 2600lbs, it definatly scoots.

the focus is in winter mode right now, hence the god awful plasti-dipped black stock wheels.

heres a picture or two of how she sat at Wekfest Chicago with the Schmidt Modernlines on.

16x7.5 front, 16x9 rear, et35 with 195/40s and 215/40s.

Lovely focus mate! Is that America's ST or did you do an engine swop? The European ST is a 2.5 turbo with 225bhp stock, what was your standard output?

I don't understand why Ford didn't release the same Focus everywhere.

Not a euro swap. It has this:

Ford introduced the ST variant of the ZX4 for 2005–2007, with a 2.3 litre, 151 hp (113 kW) (154 ft·lbf (209 N·m)

It depends on the state. Some states require front plates and some do not.

yea ford was stupid with that.

i have a 2.3 duratec non turbo stock, but after the Garrett GT28r, its putting down ~250whp @11psi. as far as bhp goes, you can figure about 3/4 actually makes it to the wheels, so maybe somewhere around 320 or so bhp. so the turbo produced about a 170 bhp gain?

again all these numbers im throwing at you are educated guesses, i have no way of measuring bhp.

in my state, yes. it sucks. in most states they aren't required, however.

California, New York, Texas, Wisconsin, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and a few others require it. I'd say it's like 50% states that do require it. Sucks for them! Here in Arizona we don't have to have a front plate
