My daily drifter - Irish R33 Skyline

This post really pissed me off.



Love the car man. I dig the aggressive kit, fenders, and wheels for what they are. It just works on a cool jdm car especially an r33.

Each to his/her own.. all comments appreciated, not all listened to

Hmmm I dont get it, are you trying to race that thing, or just make it look like A racecar fell onto some hood wheels or no??

I dont see why you did all the work to a car that looked great to start with, now non of the lines work and it looks like a total ricer, but if thats what your into thats cool, the wheels though, common, atleast if you want it to look like a racecar I get it, but those wheels arn't helping your case, nobody will be fooled at your chrome wheels that belong in Compton on a malibu.

Conscious that this will probably only make you want to share your opinion further... here goes.

Or a "racecar", I am however improving what is know as the ugly brother of the skylines... If you must know though, the car is driven Every day.. And will be brought on track and used by me... A professional drifter.

Pretty simple statement, no? I'm confused as to where you got the idea that this is a race car? It wasn't great to start with.... Why have you modified your BMW or that other thing? To be different?

Moving on.. The car isn't even painted yet, this is a project thread... I,e, not yet finished, I believe in showing what you are doing as you are doing it... And not make up stories after........ All is here for people to see - lines will be taken care of before paint.

Ricer? Im not from America "bro" so feel free to elaborate here, preferably in English.

Again I'm not american and have only ever passed by Compton on the way to lax.. But you seem to know the area.. So tell me how many sets of 10,5" front / 12" rear SSR Agle Strusse's you see when there... Feel free to take some time on this one, no pressure

Thanks dude - have a look back, exhaust gap filled all pictures are taken on my iPhone so they are all very dark. It exits perfectly flush with the original lines

Although I love everything jdm, not a fan of pokey outey exhausts.. So very happy with the one already on... And it's Loud

I'm kind of confused while the thread title is "daily drifter" and yet there are no pictures of drifting, and the car doesn't appear to be built for drifting at all.

I can see that the car is being built, but that's kind of besides the point- it's not a "daily drifter" so much as a "project car" at this point.

Just seems kind of like an odd title for something that isn't a "daily" anything besides a daily project. Now, if it said "My Skyline Drift car build" or something to that extent, I could maybe follow it.

i think where some poeple maybe get hung up is that your under the impression that this car is ugly or needs big fenders to make it look better. this car from most people heres(this forum) viewpoint needs nothing aesthetically but a drop and some fitment to be all-time. its a fucking skyline!!!!

i think that some of the cars that you think are in the same catagory as yours need wide bodies and big fenders and what not. i.e sc300/soarer, 240sx/silvias, all other somewhat dildo shaped cars i cant think of... but those cars arent really in the same catagory, but from your perspective maybe you think they are b/c they are available to you. so hence the kit/ ..maybe...just a thought could be wrong.

and you dont have be american to be ricer. thats shits a unverisal term implying that ill fitting and ill quality kits/wings/ and rims have been used on any car anywhere.

Very well put and good point all around, perhaps something I just haven't thought of - I get the ricer comments now, thanks for the explanation.. It's being built, if I had posted it up as complete and still silly gaps then fine, fair enough...

That said, this car is NOT being built as a show winner...... It will not be entered in a show and shine.... It will be driven, hard ..and had fun with on track, thats all that matters

what part of Daily driver being built in to a Drifter are you all having trouble comprehending
