So those of you that haven't heard about the terrible luck on the drive home yet here it is.
Basically we left Colonel's house (cousins grey e28 at Fixx) around 4:30pm Sunday night. We hit a ridiculously bad storm outside of Orlando so that killed our average speed right from the start. Before entering Georgia we decided to check out the car entirely and found that our front tires that were mounted 1,300 miles prior to this were entirely bald already.
Making the decision to push our luck and continue ended up getting us to Munfordville, KY which was about 368 miles from our Chicago destination.
Given it was 3:00a.m. with nothing open besides a hotel at exit 65 we decided to grab a room and worry about the two blown out front tires in the morning.
Next morning we received news that Michel tires plus in Louisville had the only two Nitto 235/35/20 tires in pretty much most of Kentucky so we tossed the car on a tow truck and headed for Louisville.
Had the two tires installed by around noon but on the way down off of the tow truck we ripped the entire front bumper cover off the car leaving us with this look for the drive home.........Don't know about you but I kinda dig it:

So in the end we learned that we should never give Kumho another chance given our Contisports achieved 25,000+ miles with the exact same amount of negative camber and the geniuses at Kumho only provided us with 1,800 miles.
Stay posted for my FixxFest coverage as soon as I get some sleep and yes it literally does suck to roll hard.
