Sorry, it's inventive and if you have a dog then that's where it should go. Thank the lord you made it removable though. Other than that, clean car, shiny wheels!

Convert the car into a wagon? yes. Give the car an attachment found exclusively on pickups and el caminos.... no. If you have the abilities to make that and make it removable, convert that car into a wagon..... don't do that...

The hardtop looks well put together, and if you benefit from its use all the better. I would have included something to protect the rear window, or do you have it removed?

I have been wanting a silver e28 recently, and yours makes me want one even more. My dad have a 524td with WVO conversion, such fun cars to drive. Naked t-stars look great.

This has probably been said already, but why not just weld it all up and make it look more natural? I think it kinda looks like a hearse right now.

                            Thanks for all the replies.
There was a manufacture in germany which built these "hardtops". They are very rare. I was lucky to get it with the car, although I didn't like it very much at the beginning.
I just leave it on as an eye-catcher (positive & negative) for meetings.

If a good Schulz-Touring (as presented in another thread here) will cross my way, I'll burn that thing
