  • Status SPA in Porsche 997 and Corvette ZR1

With the new Status SPA seats getting ready to launch we're equipping cars with them to get some feedback. Vivid Racing got a few sets, and hooked us up with these photos of a Chevy ZR1 to prove that their gettin' some use!

This Porsche 997 was in for some test fitment on the SPA seat, and we decided to snap some shots of a red Ring GT as well. There's 2 sets of Ring GT seats in these phots; the carbon-backed and kevlar-backed versions.

Check our blog for all the photos, and to stay updated with Status Life!

Me too. I love the fact that an American icon like the Corvette can compete with cars like Porsche and Lambo right outta the box.

As requested, here's some shots of the 997TT. These were taken at SEMA. Props to the photographer. I know SEMA is a PITA to shoot from 1st hand experience. This car was in the Ksport booth.

Man, that'd be a great boost in sales for us. Write Porsche a letter (or a million letters)!!

Thanks! We're unique in the fact that we offer an online tool to let customers completely customize a seat to have built, and it lets us build some really awesome stuff. Also, our seats are all built in the USA. We also offer FIA certified seats.

Does built in the USA not actually put people off more...?

No, but built in the UK does.

I hope not! Our economy would be in much better shape if people bought domestically produced goods. Besides, we've got a background in military and aerospace work. If that doesn't satisfy peoples quality concerns, I'm afraid we're not good enough

                        I worked on a Jag once. I contemplated murder/suicide.

I don't think you're aware of how most of Europe views american workmanship.

In Germany at least, when you mention something american built, people always picture shoddy finishes, ill fit and such. No idea really where this comes from... Not saying it's true or that it applies to the Status (as is obvious by those gorgeous pictures) products, but that's the general prejudice. *shrugs*

                          Gorgeous seats!

Haha I don't think they do either DrAK. I don't consider Jaguar Land Rover very British anymore, its Indian.

                            How about Bentleys?

Only if your military background is with the Coast Guard will you have earned our respect.

Just kidding, we love you guys. Otherwise we wouldn't have your seats all over our shop. haha.

I plan on getting a set for my DD once I've got the dough. Still debating ostrich leather.
