                    Extremely good question guys, as easy as I can make it sound without getting too technical is you are trying to use sound to push air into the motor. Basically trying to create a small boost effect which is easier to find at the given motors calculated wavelength.

                    1st is usually hard to achieve under a hood sometimes being a few feet, this engine bay gives us quite a bit of room so we were able to achieve the second wavelength.

                    Those of you who are interested in the subject and would like to learn more I found this link that gets pretty technical but I think can get the point across easier than I can.
