  • My Mini, Stance?

First of all, i need to point out that this may not be the "stanciest" build out there, but i like to think of it as having a purposeful stance. I've supported SW for a long time now, so i had to rock the limited edition sticker!

Went out last weekend to get some pictures, here's some of the stuff i got:

I did a feature on it here: http://www.statuserror.co.uk/?p=5916

For anyone interested, I’ll put the spec up. Don’t expect anything amazing, everything was focused on weight and handling before anything else:

    Exterior:

    Clear Front & Side Indicators
    Mini Special Arches
Stainless Steel Front & Rear Bumpers
    Single Drivers Wing Mirror
    Chrome Door Handles

    Interior:

Low Back Bucket Seats (Period Race Look)
    10″ Mountney Wheel + Boss
Sound Deadening Tar On Floor Removed + Rubber Sound Proof Mats Removed
    Rear Seats + Belts removed
Polycarbonate Passenger & Driver’s Door Windows
    Custom Made Plastic Door Cards
    Mountney Alloy Door Handles

    Engine:

New Head Gasket & Thermostat Gasket
    New Temperature Sensor In Radiator
Cylinder Head Polish & Light Port
    Maniflow Long Center Branch Manifold
    Maniflow 1.75″ Exhaust (CAT Back)
NGK Spark Plugs & New Filter & Castrol Oil + Filter Change
    Tappets Remeasured & Adjusted

    Suspension + Chassis:

    GAZ 32pt Adjustable Dampers
    Original Hi-Lo Cones & Trumpets
    Reinforced Track Shock Mounts (Front)
    Polybushed Rear Subframe

    Wheels & Brakes:

10×5″ Minator Wheels (I Do Have Some 10×6″ Original Minilites Which Will Go On After These)
    Yokohama A032R Tyres
    7.5″ Cooper S Calipers
EBC Green Stuff Pads & Grooved Discs
    Goodridge Braided Hoses All Round
    KAD Alloy Handbrake Quadrants
New Shoes & Brake Cylinders (Rear)

    C+C welcome

I was wondering what the PCD on these is? I have a set of E21 wheels in 13x5.5 et13, which I think might look great on a Mini! They are 4x100 57.1

it's nice, needs less tyre and more dish in my opinion, nice solid body though so you're lucky I like it

The PCD of a Mini is: 101.6mm or 4 inch. So mighty close! Could have something made up to fit them that's for sure .

Thanks for all the kind comments, really appreciate it! And it certainly is good fun to drive, it's not impractical at all really, except speedbumps can be a bit tough to navigate, and the Edinburgh roads are far from good.

In regards to the wheels, i do have a 1inch wider set of wheels sitting here, but i'll wait for winter to pass and the tyres on the current setup to die, then i'll go ahead and have them on for next summer

Love it. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to really "stance" a mini, but yours looks pretty much perfect to me

Yeah it is pretty tough! I could get it scrapingly low, but it would look pretty strange and ineffective to what i want to do with it. I like to think of Stance as not just how low you can go but the overall impression the car makes on you. I wasn't sure if the car would get some abuse on here because it doesn't fall into the mega low category and i don't have any crazy arch work or offset, but the community seems really nice!

Thanks for the kind comment Vic!

At first i thought i was low. I was then introduced to stanceworks. My life has not been the same since.
