  • 2011 Winter Set-ups

There's a chill in the air and that can only mean that winter is right around the corner...
Pot holes are starting to form, frost heaves are coming fast, not to mention the precipitation!
I know it may be early, but I am already being affected by the pre-winter construction, and I scrape through my whole commute on CT back roads...

...after this I need to go up a bit for the winter...

I will take pictures as soon as I get my car back from the shop, at least I needed to have the tires mounted on the wheels anyway...

Post up your winter set-ups, and it would not be a bad idea to post a shot of your summer set-up as well.

The picture is actually taken on the corner of Back Road and Beaver Hill Road...

Current winter setup... fear my mad stance, yo! Rubs everywhere with those insane wide wheels, yo!

Cranked 2cm up and just riding on my remaining winter tires. Currently on 6.5x15 ET42 steelies. Once these tires are done for, I'm looking for a set of semi-nice 16s or 17s for winter duty. Looks like complete crap at the moment.

Summer setup in comparison with the coils maxed out:

I would post something here, but in Miami, we have no winter. It's summer all year here :p

I fear winter not. I shall stay low and assist in the plowing of the roads

I don't get the point of "winter mode".

I dont either. You get to show off in the summer and give back to society as the community snow plow in the winter. Its a win-win situation.

                      Kielan,
I'm sure you get the point of CT roads in the winter and their frost heaves...
