Thanks guys. The battle Im fighting right now is what to do with my fender liner so I cant bring down the rear a tad bit more.

              Remove/undercoat?

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

              Your blast pipes look stupid.

I have a MK V GTI and had the same problem fitting 9,5x18 in the back.

I gave it a little camber and it workt.. Maby works for you ?

                  Great car!! luv the MK6

I honestly don't really want to remove the liner, I thought about cutting it and whatnot but now thats the least of my worries because of last night my tire made it through my fender liner and took out about 3inches of fender paint so now I need to figure out what to do.

Thanks, and I have camber, our car tops out around 3.5 degrees and I have around 3 degrees. I think smaller tires is the only way to go now.

Run a 215/35 on the rear and you'll be set.

I run 18x9.5 et15 on the rear with that tire (on my mkv), same camber as you, and i'm lower than you. I now have plenty of clearance even when I have a passenger in the back. Liners are still in and the fenders are not pulled or even rolled. I ran a 215/40 before and it rubbed everywhere even without a passenger. Tires made all the difference!

                      Pic for reference:

Wow a 9.5 on 215 35? Thats crazy and awesome at the same time lol.

In my case I think that 215 40 would be enough on a 8.5 rim.
