  • FF mazda goodness (help needs stance work)

So this is the turd I need input on wheel selection, these are ok but I need spacers and they need to be refinished, I like me some Enkei rpf1’s but I would also like to get something with a lip so I can match it to the body color and paint the spokes black. Keep in mind that it’s not quite done need some window tint, fog lights tinted, and tails tinted. I’m also poor so for now I’m on eBay coil sleeves (soon to be D2 coilovers) I’m also working on a solution to my tiny brakes. So here she is

Sorry for the bad pics I’m not very artistic

    My suggestions:

    1. Stock headlights
    2. Remove lip kit, leave front lip
    3. Color match front lip
    4. Exhaust with regular muffler and 3-inch tip
    5. Different wheels
    6, Spoiler delete

It may seem like a lot, but you're not far from a nice car. I love the color!

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

    Your blast pipes look stupid.

I know I've seen a really sick MX-6 somewhere on this site, but I can't seem to find any of his posts. He would definitely be able to help you out.

you have a good start i think. I agree with changing the headlights back to stock and, lower it for now. Wheels can wait for now.

Forgot to mention. The side skirts looked molded in so they would have to stay, it may be rough to remove them. Nice car BTW, I would roll it.

so yeeeea the skirts and rear valences have to stay they are glassed in (not coming off) also paint is two weeks old not about to start that again but I do agree about the look clan and low no skirts just front lip but there was some nasty damage to the rockers that I chose to cover up rather than cut out a large chunk and re weld I did most of this by myself and my welding skills just aren’t there. The muffler hides very well when done properly like I mentioned above my welding skills just don’t get it done. As for the headlights I have looked at two options 1. clear covers over black housings 2. Stock jdm headlights all glass with projectors $350 the stock ones were in bad shape and those came from a parts car that I bought dirt cheap. I’m all over the place with wheel selection. I can’t let the stock spoiler go I think the car looks odd without anything on the back I wouldn’t mind a carbon fiber wing but am a little scared to go there don’t want the ricer comments, soon to come a carbon fiber hood (carbon creations scoot) the one with a center scoop flanked be three slots on either side commonly rocked on the fd rx7, and the lip it is so soft the paint will bust+ I’m a volunteer fireman so I have to park in some bad places even if the paint stays on it won’t last one dive off in to someone’s yard. I think I’m going to get rid of the lip and replace it with a carbon fiber version it's a cheap spoon knock off for an Integra from eBay. Oh the mx-6 you are thinking of is mikes (mikesauce) found under a post titled. My slab (Mazda content)

These were exactly what i was thinking. Decent start though...an i kno u dont wanna take off the body kit so it will prolly be fine for now...stick with your stock hood too, dnt do the carbon fiber rx7 thing. Just my 2 cents.but like i said u have a nice base, an good luck with this project

Once you get it a lot lower, try it without the wing and see if you like it. I personally love wingless cars that have a sloping rear end. It looks sleek with the right drop and wheels.

wow that came a long way! loving its direction, just clean it up a bit with factory head lights and removing the skirts, front lip looks great though. a set of deep five spoke wheels would be sick
At first i thought i was low. I was then introduced to stanceworks. My life has not been the same since.

yea like I mentiond above I glassed the skirts in so the are going to stay but im actually looking at traiding this for a black stock body car with an hx35 turbo setup as for the wheels I like the black Enkei rpf1's on this car or the volk te37's
