You have to lower it to compensate for the smaller wheels and tires. That's why they are suggesting so.

I completely understand. But this is as low as you can go on the MK6 Jetta without going to bags. Right now there are 3 sets of springs available and only 2 sets of coils available. These ST coils and Konis. At this height my axle is banging the frame. I'm getting notched soon. I'm hoping lower coils come out eventually for it or I may end up going with bags down the line.
