  • My Ghett-Low Mercedes W201 190e

Hello Gents and ladies. Heres a few pics of my 1989 190e, its a manual gear box model with the ASD active limited slip rear differential. not that I can drift it with it being this low!

Welcome to the site. And trust me, you can drift at that height, haha.

not without ripping the front wings off. it catches like mad just when turning sharp junctions. some arch roller action is needed!

with a roll its totally possible ask me how i know id be more worried about that gear box than anything else while drifting.

i love 190e's what kind of lock does that diff have or is it helical?

25-30% standard mechanical lock then hydraulicaly adjustable up to 100% lock up.

yeah the manual boxes in these aint great but are cheap as chips for a replacement in the Uk so no issues there. ive had auto 190s before. the auto boxes are good to be fair

              sounds like a sweet diff!

the auto boxes are great! the manual MB boxes are rare as hell here in the US and they feel like a broom in a ice box lol but damn i still ove these cars.

                Nice! another one from mercedes-190

Is that the same diff as the cosworths have. I didn't know you could get a hydraulically locking one.

I love this body style but is it me but does the front need to drop or does teh back need raised? I love a little rake on these
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left

the arch lines are different. if you look at the rear arch the arch line is alot lower than the front so even though the car is sitting level it looks like the back end is lower in terms of how much wheel the arch covers.
