Car looks good, wheels do not look good.
Hopefully that will change soon, and getting the front as low as the rear would be neat. to the point were the lip rests on the ground, unless its resting on the front sub frame or something like that.

OP, your car is dope, from one bagged bimmer to another, I like how everything looks together including the wheels. How are your bags set up out front and what are you running? Crazy to me that you have to run that low of an offset to clear. We're running UAS Double Plays and clear with room at 18x8 ET 13.

Details on your air set up please!
Its a custom setup, the fronts are universal air aerosports with shortened struts housings. I need the low offset to clear the front bag because it is sits equal with the lip of the rim.

              • wow this thread got loose for a while lol

OP car looks great. I'm in Australia and have loved that Breeze colour since i saw it on Ford Falcon's over here about 18mths or more ago. Looks brilliant in sunlight. I had an S13 i got repainted in a very similar colour, but mine was actually from a Harley Davidson of all things haha

i dig the way the intake vents are blacked out though with the IS lip, ties it all in with the trim. i may steal that idea eventually haha

Air is definately i good idea with Pans on E30s :P even if it is just for getting up in to driveways etc.

FunfGan - How about Cup Kits? where do they fit in the theory

                    • like it, color is dope. I like the wheels, if you can make an XXR look clean, go for it.

Would like to see a static setup tho.

                          • Sorry, but this whole hatred against xxrs is total bullsh!t!

XXRs are a nice looking cheap wheel

The only real disadvantages of going with most reps like rotas and xxrs etc is that they are heavier and in some cases weaker than the genuine wheels... well and the fact that they can get very common

The first two are completely irrelevant for people on airbags and lowering a car to get "stance" though as any disadvantages of having reps is greatly overshadowed by ruining the cars handling so you will never be able to drive the car hard enough to warrent "real" wheels anyway.

I have a few E30s and using a mixture of wheels on them. BBS RZs, RMs, LMs, banded steelies and yep... a set of XXR 002s

Great looking E30 by the way! what engine is in it? sorry if you have already mentioned it in the thread but don't feel like reading through all the ****

                            • Welcome to StanceWorks. We love real wheels. We like the fit, finish, look, feel, taste of a real wheel. We prefer the designs some one put their own hard work into crafting rather than those a cackle of chinese drones can copy, paste and shell out to the masses. Real wheels are cool because, well, not everyone has them.
But you enjoy your xxr's dave!

                              • why is there more posts with people eating popcorn than there are photos of this actual car?

I'll apologize to the OP for everyone since we've all missed the point here, which is that this car was killin' it at H20i this year. I loved how well it sat & the color contrast with the wheels. seemed like so much fun to drive, even while sittin' in the lot just a chillin'.

it was funny how I'd walk around it & hear people guessing at the color, even funnier how common it was to hear this sort of talk as you cruised back & fourth on the strip.

I was glad to see you swapped wheels, but hope you didn't do so just because everyone was harsh on you for the sportmaxxes. people really do have to realize that we all start somewhere & we should focus on what's right with a chassis rather than what's not ideal in their minds.

it was clear to see that this E30 had potential to be perfect, right from the start. I mean, who puts out the cash for a bag setup & runs $80 rims?, nobody & that's the point that went over so many people's heads.
